If you accept and use any of these listed free services and then book your tours, excursions, services, airport transportation outside of Jaco Platinum VIP, you will forfeit these services being free, and will be required to pay for those services that were offered as free, and that you received as free. No substitution for free services.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

• Maximum occupancy of each property is stated on the property description on the www.jacoplatinumvip.com website. 

• When making your payment through Jaco Platinum VIP, any and all processing fees charged to us by the processor , are to be paid by you. The amount credited to your reservation will be the actual amount we receive after credit card processing fees are deducted.

• Fees from Jaco Platinum VIP processors (these fees are charge in addition to the amount due on your invoice).  Credit Card - 5%.  PayPal - 3.5%.  Venmo - 2%.  Zelle and Bank Wire - No fees on our end but you are responsible for any fees your bank charges you for this transaction. 

• Jaco Platinum VIP has gone to great lengths to accurately describe vacation rental properties, tour experiences, transportation options and our specialized concierge services in the most transparent and honest representation possible. We urge you to read through ALL of the policies, conditions and information listed on the following page. If you have any questions or do not understand any portion or detail of this or any other document or description delivered to you by Jaco Platinum VIP, please contact us and we will be pleased to clarify any concerns or questions. We are committed to setting you up with the best deals and safest options available.

  TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  In booking these arrangements, you agree to all policies of Jaco Platinum VIP and/or its affiliates and providers, and to all the terms and conditions specified in this document.

  In the event Jaco Platinum VIP has agreed to, and you are correctly entitled to, any form of refund or compensation related to these charges, arrangements will be made directly through Jaco Platinum VIP without dispute or chargeback to this transaction.

Rates & Reservations are guaranteed ONLY after your deposit is received, and we have sent you a confirmation document. 

CANCELLATION POLICIES:

In booking your reservations, you understand and agree that we are unable to move, change, or cancel any reservation due to any type of existing or new COVID Vaccine requirement policy or mandate by any country, including but not limited to USA, CANADA or COSTA RICA.

We can not be, nor will be held liable for any vaccine policies, curfews or vaccine mandates that may be initiated or placed into effect at any time before or after you book by any country that might apply to any unvaccinated member of your party or interrupt their ability to travel to, enter or participate in any type of activity, or enter any venue whereas the country or local municipality has enacted any type of proof of vaccine requirement to do so.

There are no “COVID related reasons, that would warrant, justify, or be accepted as reason for you or any member in your party to cancel your/their reservations with any expectation or any type of refund, neither full nor partial.  

Vacation rentals, VIP services and tours cancellations, for ANY reason, must be made NO LATER THAN 90 DAYS from the scheduled date of arrival to qualify for a 50% refund of your deposit, or 75% credit for a future trip within 2 years minus any credit card processing fees, PayPal fees or bank wire fees [Rates subject to change]. This includes but is not limited to reasons such as acts of God, acts of nature, acts of war, ANY type of state or federal travel advisories or warnings from ANY agency whether it be CDC, FDA, or Department of State, threats of disease or virus, missed or cancelled flights, foul weather, or ANY OTHER REASON. This includes but not limited to weather, illness by anyone in the group, or any member being in the hospital. 

CHANGES TO RESERVATION: Once you have been confirmed with house and dates, your payments/deposits can not be transferred to a different house nor to different dates.

Cancellations made within a 90-day time frame of scheduled arrival date for ANY reason, including but not limited to those stated, will forfeit 100% of all deposits and payments made.

Fishing charter boats and private party boats (all deposits and payments) are non-refundable. PLEASE NOTE: Paying the balance due for fishing boat charters and private party boats is required and cannot be cancelled within 30 Days. If you cancel your fishing charters or party boat within 30 days, for any reason, you will still be required to pay the full balance due.

If for any reason we need to cancel your reservation, or any segment of your booking, you may be offered an alternative date, accommodation, or option. If you are unable to accept, a full refund will be issued for that segment(s).

COVID RELATED CANCEL EXCEPTION:

In the event the government of the U.S.A. / Canada bans all travel to Costa Rica, or the Costa Rican government bans all entry into Costa Rica for all U.S.A/Canadian citizens, or only those from a designated state, inside of 30 days prior to your scheduled check in, you may request that we hold your payment and apply it to a future reservation, or you may request a full refund (less any credit card processing fees).

*** If worried about canceling we highly recommend that you purchase “CANCEL FOR ANY REASON GROUP TRAVEL INSURANCE".  We do not sell this insurance but a quick google search will provide several options and agencies that do.

CONCIERGE SERVICE:

When renting any of our properties for 3 nights or more, we assign both a day & night concierge to your group who will professionally guide you where to go and not to go, get you out on your tours, arrange bottle service at the best clubs, taxis, coordinate massages, chef service, tours/excursions, and much more. This invaluable day and night concierge service allows your group to have the best Costa Rica vacation experience!

CHEF SERVICE GRATUITIES [TIPS]:

If you have a chef, a suggested $2 per person per meal gratuity [tip] will be added / built into your total invoice after your deposit is received, and will become part of your balance due at check in. This is a suggested minimum gratuity and additional tips are welcome at check out, or after each meal.

For Example: If you are a group of 8 people, and have a total of 5 meals using our chef services, you will have a suggested base gratuity of $80 automatically added to your invoice and part of your balance due at check in (8 people x $2 per person x 5 meals = $80)

CLEANING FEE:

An additional cleaning fee is assessed according to the house you choose, how many days you are staying,  and how many people are in your group.  See the amount of the cleaning on the invoice before sending the deposit. 

PROPERTY ACCESS AND ENTRY:

At the request of our property owners and for Safety, Security and Liability purposes, all chefs, DJ’s, Van drivers, bartenders, masseuses, concierge’s and guides MUST be employed by or contracted through Jaco Platinum VIP in order to be allowed access/entry to your accommodations/ properties. Outside, or Third Party providers of these services are not allowed entry into any Jaco Platinum VIP rental property at any time.

Additional guests/visitors, and or entertainers may enter the property at your discretion and in these cases you are fully responsible for any and all of their actions, and adherence to all of the properties rules & conditions during the entire time they are on the property. Jaco Platinum VIP and its staff reserve the right to deny access or entry to any individual(s), at their discretion and at any time.

WASHER AND DRYER: Please note that on-site washing machine and dryer is for house cleaning staff use only. These machines are not available for guests items and use. Laundry service is available [additional cost] in Jaco centre and can be arranged for you.

TRANSPORTATION, SERVICES, AND TOURS:

In order to receive the Services Booking Bonus and/or Service Credits shown and discounted on your itemized invoice,
you are required to and agree to book / reserve all airport transfers, tours, excursions, fishing charters, and services directly through Jaco Platinum VIP. Should you choose to wait until check in to reserve/book your tours and excursions, they must be booked through your Jaco Platinum VIP concierge or the Jaco Platinum VIP office staff. We use only with the most reliable, accredited and insured tour operators to ensure you have the best experiences

While you are welcome to book your tours with us after check in, we strongly suggest you pre-book your tours prior to your arrival to secure space/availability so that your entire group can participate together at convenient start times.

BOOKING BONUS:

In order to qualify for the free/included options on your invoice or itinerary, you must book all options of your trip including tours, chefs, DJ, Bartenders, fishing, transfers with Jaco VIP. If you book outside Jaco Platinum VIP, you will forfeit your free options except housekeeping and doorman, which are mandatory per the homeowner. An additional $75/nt will be added to your invoice. Should you book any other items outside Jaco VIP during your stay, you will reimburse Jaco Platinum VIP for any free options rendered. Should this occur, we reserve the right to withhold reimbursement from the refundable security deposit.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS/SHUTTLE DELAYS:

We are not, can not and will not be held responsible or financially liable in any manner, for missed flights, rebooked flight costs, flight change costs, or additional nights accommodation costs that you may incur as a result of any airport transfer/ shuttle being delayed or arriving at the airport late due to unforeseen circumstances en route that are outside of our control. These include but are not limited to accidents on the road, landslides, natural disasters, foul weather, any act of nature, issues with infrastructure, road closures, unexpected traffic congestion, etc.

At the time you book your airline tickets, we strongly suggest you purchase the optional trip interruption insurance that most airlines offer before finalizing the purchase of your ticket. Which in most cases, covers cancelled flights, missed flights, flight delays, additional accommodations and more.

LOCAL TAXIS & UBER:

Within the local areas of Jaco, Hermosa and Los Sueños, Taxis and Uber are ok to use. However, to insure quality, safety and for liability purposes, all airport transfers, and private driver services, are to be booked exclusively and only through Jaco Platinum VIP as an additional Term & Condition of this vacation rental and booking.

NOISE ORDINANCE:

There is a standard local government mandated noise ordinance in Jaco for all residential areas. DJs at the homes can not play outdoors after 9pm. Any loud or disruptive noise outdoors is not permitted after 9pm. You may however move the party indoors and behind closed doors after 9:00pm, to avoid any issues and be within compliance of these ordinances.

POOL JUMPING POLICY:

At all properties that have balconies, terraces or roof tops that overhang the swimming pool there is a very strict NO JUMPING policy put in place by the owners. Please know that if any member of your party or any guest you invite/host
on the property jumps from any rooftop, balcony or overhang into the pool, your party will be EVICTED from the premises immediately with no refund of any monies paid for the rental, and no refund of your security deposit. This is a STRICT policy and requirement of the property owner, not Jaco Platinum VIP. Thank you for your cooperation.

CHECK IN TIME: No earlier than 3pm. If you are on a flight that arrives before 11am and makes your arrival into Jaco before the 3pm check in, we can store your luggage but can not let you into the house early at no charge. If early check in is available, there is a homeowner imposed fee. Ask for details.

CHECK OUT TIME: No later than 11am.

STRICT NO SMOKING/VAPING POLICY:

Please know that if any member of your party or any guest you invite/host on the property, smokes indoors, in any room of this property, or the smell of smoke is detected in any indoor area by a staff member, your entire party will be EVICTED from the premises immediately with no refund of any monies paid for the rental, and no refund of your security deposit.

This is a STRICT policy and requirement of the property owner. NO SMOKING anywhere indoors. You are welcome to smoke anywhere outdoors at any property. Cigarette butts must be discarded in ashtrays or cans with non-flammable liquid in them and not tossed or discarded anywhere on the property or grounds.

NO PETS:

No animals (including mammals, reptiles, birds, fish, amphibians, arachnids, and insects) are allowed, even temporarily, anywhere in/on the property unless JacoVIP and/or homeowner have given authorization in writing, including for registered service animals assisting the hearing or vision impaired.

INTERRUPTION OF SERVICES/ UTILITIES:

You understand and agree that we are in no way liable, nor will any type of financial compensation, full or partial refund
or credit be due to you or your party, should your rental property incur loss of electricity, power, water, or internet service. All cities/towns in Costa Rica occasionally incur loss of power, internet, running water or other utilities. In most cases, but not always, such services are restored within a couple of hours or less. If a loss of power, running water, internet service or any other utility occurs directly at your rental property and is related to an issue at the house, and not a city wide or total zone issue, our property management team will work diligently to have the issue resolved and the utility/service restored to minimize any inconvenience. However you understand and agree that in the event they are unable to repair the issue prior to your check out, no type of financial compensation, refund or credit will be due to you or any member of your party.

Furthermore, during heavy or torrential rains, rain runoff that enters the property will also warrant no type of financial compensation, refund or credit will be due to you or any member of your party.

DAMAGES AND LOSS:

You understand and agree that you are fully responsible for any damages, loss of property, theft of goods/items belonging to the property, yours or any members of your party, or any other such occurrences from the time you take possession of the property at check in, until you contracted check out date/time. You are responsible for the actions of ANYONE whom you permit and allow access/entry onto the property at all times regardless if they are part of your immediate guests or visitors whom you have allowed entrance onto the property.

BUGS/INSECTS/CRITTERS:

Our property, home/villa is regularly treated for insect and critter pest control, however you understand that due to Costa Rica’s Sub-Tropical climate and terrain, there are occasions where they make their way into our homes/villas. To help prevent and minimize these occurrences, guests should not leave food items, crumbs or food waste on any countertop, stovetop, table, floors, nightstands or anywhere.

All such items should be placed in the refrigerator or the trash cans provided. Sightings of any insects or critters, dead or alive, does NOT justify or warrant any type of refund or monetary compensation of any sort, nor does it justify or warrant abandoning or vacating the house/villa with you having any expectation or demand for a refund of any sort. If you see any type of insect, critter, please report it to your concierge or Jaco Platinum VIP office. A property management team member will come to the house/villa and spot treat the area in question to eliminate the problem.
